Ok, so here is the deal. . .

About a week ago, a fuse blew for our tv and cable box.  After that the cable box showed 12:00 for the time, the  tv only showed a few channels, and the guide didn't show anything.  I have called Comcast a few times, and nothing has improved, so tonight I called and the lady on the phone had me try something different.  She had me unplug the cable in from the back of the box, and plug it back in.  Now I know that coax cable does carry a small amount of power, but when I tried to plug in the cable, it sparked really bad, and there was so much energy out of the coax, it fused it to the back of the box.  So, because of that the internet died.  So, it took me all of 25 minutes to figure out how to splice a new cable, and run in from the front room through to the bedroom. Then hook up the cable modem in there, and run the Ethernet back out here.  Fun times.

haha. but look on the brightside my cable is down too. my picture is all scrambled on every channel. comcast said they could send someone out on tuesday to look at it but there would probably be a service fee of $28.00. but if i want to waive that fee they could add a fee of .99 cents per month and that way if comcast had to come service anything at my house it would be covered. how gay huh

Yeah, the guy just left my house, gave me a new box, a new splitter, and a new cable.  And it didn't charge me anything!   I love comcast (when it works).  You just have so many miles of cable and cords in your house Nate, that they were gonna charge you that just to figure out what cord when to where.  lol

well i called them yesterday and it ended up being the service in the area having issues. and also if i wanted them to rerun my cable they would charge like $30.00 and that wouldnt be included with the additional .99 a month thing. how gay!  sillystick
