Do you really need a Physx card? There isn't really anything that uses it and I havn't heard of a publisher that has even planned support for it. Save yourself $150 and remove it.
Don't get an LG burner, get a Sony. They are better, last longer (I have one that has burned over 500 DVD and it still works.
The SB Audigy is a good card, but if your going for gaming get an X-Fi.
Lastly, you might want to get a video card.  Make sure you get something that supports PCIx 2.0. This is a new spec that doubles the bandwidth from the first gen. Take advantage of that.
Lastly, (and I forgot to put this in the newegg site) I'm sure you will be running a 32-bit OS, don't get any more than 3GB of ram, this is optimal for the 32-bit M$ world.

Sorry, some of the parts on that list are for the computer I am on right now, ie; I have a sony dvd burner that I have had for 4 years now, still works perfectly.  I have the X-Fi on this computer as well.  Those things are going to be going into this computer, and this will no longer be my main pc.  I thought I did put a video card on the list.  And would $5 more for 4GB really hurt the system??

Edit;  I have THIS video card on that system.

Couple of things... If this is going to be in addition to your current computer you will also need a case and powersupply. Not to mention additional hard drives.

And with you building this possibly in the fall, it is kinda pointless to be doing a wishlist now, because most of these products won't be listed on newegg by then.

Just my two cents.

I know, but I never buy my cases from newegg, I get them from another site that has them for about 60% off.  And most of the parts will still be listed, just not in stock or not the same price.  The parts I used to build my computer are still on there.  I saved that list too, before I bought it.
As for the HDDs, I am leaving 2 of them in the computer I have now, and the rest, along with 2-60gb and a 200gb that have been sitting in a box for about a year.  And my semi-new 555gb(not what its suppose to be) external.

Edit;  I just updated it, with a new video card, and some case fans.  I also recieved an email from someone on Newegg telling me that I should get a different fan and heatsink for the processor?

You guys want to know something funny about this topic; I first heard about it by reading it on the forum.  He never said anything to me about building a new computer or when he was planning on doing it.  Funny huh?!

I have another question for the computer geeks here.  Who makes the best HDDs?  ie. Least noise, longest running, best reputation?

This is another one of those topics that can vary greatly in the response. I have always been partial to Western Digitals. Especially now, after my hard drives got so beat up from the post office, and they still work great.
