Me and Em decided to put our trip to Vegas off and take a cruise instead, we are going on a 8 day/7night Mexican Riviera Cruise, We plan on going in Feb-Apr 2009 so if anyone wants to join us, they have plenty of time to save money for it, the tickets we are looking at are $750/ person and that includes all food, Em is going to a travel agent tomorrow to get all the details, If anyone is interested, LMK and I will get you the details on everything.  Any questions, just ask and we will find out

Here is the link for the cruise we are looking at, We are planning on going on the Feb 22 cruise but that could change, I found out that if we get 5 cabins for our group, we will get some extra features. We get a $100 spending credit on the ship, per room. and a bottle of champagne, not that I'd drink it anyway, keep it for a souvenir.  Room rates are double occupancy, Inboard $509, Oceanview $579.

Cruise Info

Let me know if you are interested. I think it would be fun to have our whole group go.

Well I got an email from a travel agent in Salt Lake, and here is what they said. The total price per person will be $334.44.  That includes Cruise fare, Port tax and Government tax, and Fuel surcharge. So now if anyone else is interested, just let me know.

334.44 per person huh? for how big of a group? is there a minimum of people that have to go in order to get the price? cuz the website said like 600 per person. and have you talked to the travel agent to see about including the flight on the price too?

From what I gathered when I visited the on-base travel agency that is the price if you have two people in the same cabin (per person). So if you only have one going, it is around a little under double.

As far as plane tickets, there is no way to know for sure on the cost of those until the beginning of April, because they only have info for 11 months out. But in checking for the same time frame this year, the plane tickets would be around $200 (feel lucky... they are about $700 for me).

As far as the price, it is a lot better than what I could get here, the best price they could offer me was 550 Euro, which with todays exchange rate is about $810. So if I end up going I will definitely be having Travis get my tickets.

Well the travel agent screwed up and quoted me the 3-day price instead, so we are still looking around $600/person, just thought I'd let you know

Well Justin obviously hasn't said anything, but I don't know if we will have anything because we were planning on going to Texas this year (08) but Justin wants to get into a house instead and wait until next year (09) to go to Texas.  So if things work out the way we want, we will be going to Texas around the time that you all are going on your cruise, so we won't have any money for a cruise.  Although that does sound like fun.
