Well I Got My Orders

Well if you didn't get the message, I got my orders for my Permanent Duty Station. It will be Ramstein Germany. I need to report no later than September 30th.  I think I am there for 2 years, but I can't remember for sure. I will be able to come home on leave, but I don't know when or how long at this point. I do get 30 days of leave a year so there will be plenty of time for me to come home.

I just hope I can get some killer internet. I know that a lot of places in Europe has internet that blows anything available here out of the water, so I finally might be able to brag to everyone how fast my internet is. I am hoping for a minimum of 50 down 25 up, but we'll see.

Anyway, things here are going pretty good. I aced my first test. It is still really humid although it doesn't seem as bad as it used to. It has been raining quite a bit here. Yesterday it poured for probably 3-4 hours. But, hey, I am done a month from today. YAY. Then I should be home hopefully by August 23rd for at least a couple of weeks.

Oh and for those of you who didn't know, Garrison (my brother), got home from his mission in Sweden yesterday. I was able to talk to him for 30 minutes. My mom said he was already playing my Xbox this morning. So we may have someone new to play against when he gets his own  xboxlive account.

Well I better sign off so I can email my mom.

Well I hope you like Germany, so how long are you going to be home after tech school?  We are seriously going to have to play Halo 3 as it comes out Sept 21 or something like that.

Its September 25th, and I will probably be in Germany by that point. But I think I may have to have you possibly pre-order me a Legendary Edition if possible and ship it to me. I will probably be ordering a standard edition, but it will be hard to get a Legendary in Germany that is in english.

As far as how long I will be home, I don't know yet. I am thinking around 3 weeks. Possibly more depending on how much money and leave I have.

Anyway I am now in Phase 2 which means I can change into my civilian clothes after classes and have my cell phone on me, so you can call or txt me anytime after 4:30PM MST (Utah time for those hicks in Tooele) until around 8:00PM on weekdays. And pretty much anytime on the weekend.

Anyways, incase you didn't know TVs in Germany won't work with your Xbox.  We use NTSC and they user PAL.  I don't know of a converter box so you may want to take a TV with you, or if you can, change your Xbox settings to use PAL... That would be cool if they built that in.

Also, I do believe you will be here for about 2 weeks, not 3.  14 days of leve is that max you can have when going over seas.  I could be wrong, and I hope I am.  Gata chill for as long as humanly possible.  ^_^

P.S.  If I sound retarded while writing this I have a reason.  In the last 3 days I have a total sleep time of about 12 hours, and when everything you are doing is hard work, it sucks.  Back to bed I will try to go..
